* Completed the Treehouse Go course I was working through
* Started on my first Go app for my portfolio, Poncho
* The first of 2 API requests that the app will need to make is returning results

Heck yes, diversifying my portfolio! Starting a new project in a new language really shows me how much I had to learn, but I made a good chunk of progress thanks to the help of a bunch of resources I'll link below. So far, I've got an http request set up that's pulling data from Google's geocoding API so that users of my app will be able to get their location and it will return a lat/long pair. My app is grabbing that info so far, and where I ended this evening was parsing through the nested JSON parameters to get the lat/long pair. The app will then pass that pair over to the DarkSky API to get their requested weather data. Here are the resources that I owe my progress to:
* https://blog.alexellis.io/golang-json-api-client/
* https://blog.golang.org/go-maps-in-action
* https://blog.golang.org/json-and-go

And this is one that I need to revisit so that I can figure out how to parse that darn nested json body that I'm getting as a response: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/28806951/accessing-nested-map-of-type-mapstringinterface-in-golang

Here's today's commit:
